
Caitlin Boland Aarab is a trial lawyer in Great Falls, Montana. She tries cases to verdict in state and federal court. In State v. Andrade she won an acquittal on a homicide charge. With her law partner, Sam Aarab, she persuaded a Cascade County jury to hold one of Montana’s oldest law firms liable for professional negligence, a verdict they won together two years after founding their own firm. Together they also secured one of the largest wrongful death settlements the State of Montana has paid, in a case arising from a jail suicide.
Caitlin grew up in Great Falls. She studied Government at Georgetown University and earned a master’s in Political Theory from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She went to law school at the University of Montana, where she competed on the Trial Team and was Editor in Chief of the Montana Law Review.
She clerked for Justice Patricia Cotter of the Montana Supreme Court and for Chief Judge Sidney R. Thomas of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She practices before both courts today.
In 2017 Caitlin co-founded Boland Aarab PLLP with her husband and law partner, Samir Aarab. The firm carries forward the legacy of Great Falls attorney Thomas E. Boland. Caitlin serves on the District of Montana’s Local Rules Advisory Committee.
She is admitted to practice in Montana’s state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association and the Montana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and she has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Caitlin and Sam are married and have four children.
